Tina Marie creates home objects with focus on high quality and craftsmanship. Simple shapes with elegant, refined details, all based on clean, geometric forms, stripped of almost any kind of decoration. If any, the decorative element lies in the material, technique – or function. The subtle silhouettes makes room for the shaded, poetic color combinations and vivid surfaces to play the most important role.
ALL MADE BY HAND
Every material, color and technique is carefully developed to underline each other.
All processes from designing, prototyping, moldmaking, casting and glazing are done by hand, which gives small variations on each piece. Showing the work of the hand is an aim, rather than a flaw.
ALL PRODUCTION IN DENMARK
The workshop in Copenhagen, is where all products are developed, and the production takes place partly there and partly on the small Danish island of Langeland.
It is an important part of the philosophy to keep the production in Denmark, rather than sending it off to far away countries. This gives a more sustainable production, a close relationship to the subcontractor and as a very important point, this maintains important old craftsmanship and know-how in Denmark, so that the fine ceramics tradition can continue and grow.

Elegant, reifined and made with passion
Ceramics can be many things, but for Tina Marie it is all about passion for the unique. She work with simple shapes, with elegant refined details, all based on clean, geometric forms, stripped of almost any kind of decoration. The decorative element lies in the material and technique, and in the shaded poetic colour combinations and vivid surfaces. Tina’s work is both beautiful and inspiring, and will no doubt bring a touch of soul and uniqueness to any home that presents it.
Being part of the great traditions of Scandinavian Design and Scandinavian Living made us realize how important it is to present makers to the people around the world who can appreciate some of the more distinguish designers and products available – hence Northernmakers.com. Today it’s not just Scandinavian makers we celebrate but makers and designers from all in the Nordic region.
We are happy to present such a great craftsman to Northernmakers. We strive to collect the greatest designers and craftsman from all of Scandinavia under one roof.
All of which hold proud Scandinavian traditions both in terms of design, product and production.
This latest introduction to a member of Northernmakers just point to the fact that the Nordic region still supplies quality and well thought icons Internationally, all of which makes us passionate to bring more of these skilled people, their brands and beautiful products to the visitors of our web shop.
We can’t all visit the workshop and experience the manmade development at hand. But being the fortunate ones, we love to follow the designs as they unfold and learn to respect the attention to detail. After more than 4 years close to local makers and craftsmen we know how much story there is behind every product and material selected – and we are so proud to bring them to your attention.
