Hvalsøe was established in February 2017, and is a little manufacturer with a flair for, an attention to, quality. The drive behind Hvalsøe is a wish to challenge customary ideas about design of ordinary items, through handpicked quality materials. The philosophy is a refined approach to nordic design with the material in focus.
The curent product range from Hvalsøe consists of knife magnets in wood clocks in wood, clocks in marble and cutting boards in wood.

American walnut has a beautiful dark brown glow, which may vary slightly in the nuances. The glow is emphasized by the Danish organic linseed oil, as this wall clock is oiled with.This product is currently not available on northern makers. Our minimalistic oak knife rack is oiled with organic Danish linseed oil. It is 40cm wide and it can hold around 5-6 big knives. Place the knife anywhere on our knife rack – there are 18 strong neodymium magnets hidden on the backside to keep the design minimalistic.It is very easy to mount the knife rack with the monting on the backside. This knife magnet in wenge is laid in a minimalist design that fits most kitchens. Wenge is a wood type from Africa, which has a very dark brown color. After we have oiled the knife magnet with an organic Danish linseed oil, the tree becomes almost black.This product is currently not available on northern makers. With our large American walnut cutting board, you have ample room for larger dishes, tapas or guest meals.
