Nohrlund

Nohrlund represents a world of handmade bottled cocktails inspired by the Nordic tradition. It is a world filled with elegant tastes, fine spirits, pure, fresh produce, and uncompromising quality. Every variant of Nohrlund has been crafted from original recipes – and if you choose a Nohrlund, you choose something truly authentic. A whole new experience of what a cocktail can be. Nohrlund pays tribute to the cocktail etiquette where the deep understanding of how you combine natural ingredients prevails over synthetic substitutes. This means; no additives, a tender processing of all produce, and a finishing treatment, which maintains all flavours.

With Nohrlund a space has been created where the cocktail can uphold its essential features, but to a far greater extent is able to reach a broad, quality conscious audience.

Nohrlund is the result of five friends’ persistent search for some unique cocktails that would get people to pay homage to great taste and fresh produce once more. On a summer trip to a little hut Nohrlund on the Danish island of Funen, the friends got the idea of mixing the season’s berries with the finest spirits and in those days in became apparent to them that there is no substitute for the strong flavours and refined textures of natural ingredients. That summer Nohrlund was shaped as a testament to the minimalistic, Nordic tradition, which favours the stylish and narrow choices where each distinct nuance of taste gets its own space to fill and conquer.

Elderflower/Ginger + Gin

Elderflower and ginger are two contrasts that meet each other in this refreshing cocktail. The spicy taste of the insisting ginger is countered by the Danish summer’s aromatic elderflower. Combined with an incredible gin they create a fine balance between the potent and the delicately sweet flavours.

Ways of Serving

Topped with Champagne

Take a champagne glass and fill it with . Nohrlund. Top it with either cava or champagne. Depending of whether the cocktail should be used as an aperitif or a digestif – meaning before or after a meal – it would be best to use elderflower/ginger to freshen up the taste sensors before a meal and serve the slightly heavier and sweet strawberry/rhubarb after a mail.

On the Rocks

The traditional serving of a cocktail – in a glass, on crushed ice, with a straw and a slice of lime – is still a winner. A well-known and classic way of serving the cocktail, which keeps it cold and leaves great visual impression. It is easy, simple and casual, perfect for a day when Nohrlund is to be enjoyed in cosy surroundings.

In a Classic Cocktail Glass

Fill the shaker with lots of ice and shake it hard and quickly, so the cocktail gets cooled down. Fine-strain the content into a cooled classic cocktail / martini glass and serve directly. This way of serving requires that the cocktail be served right away, since the it is most cold and delicious right after the shake.
